Friendship House
Mission Statement
Friendship House provides a welcoming and inclusive place where individuals and families experiencing hardship can find dignity, compassion, and practical support through food, meals, showers, clothing, outreach, and connections to health and housing resources. We work to reduce barriers, and build pathways toward stability and hope for all in our community.
The Friendship House is located on the campus of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville, on Academy Street, between the Post Office and the Haywood County Library.
Showers
The Friendship House offers hot showers Monday through Friday from 8:30AM-11AM, and Saturdays from 7AM-9AM.
Clothing
Clothing is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30AM-12PM, and Saturdays from 7AM-10AM.
Food Pantry
Tuesday - Friday from 8:30AM-12PM
Saturdays from 8:30AM-10AM
Wednesdays from 5PM-6PM
Mondays from 12PM-2PM.
Little Library
Access our Little Library and Resource Room Monday through Friday, from 8:30AM-12PM, and Saturdays from 7AM-10AM.
Saturday Breakfast
Join us for a free hot breakfast every Saturday from 8AM-9AM in the Gym at FUMC Waynesville. Doors open at 7AM for coffee and fellowship.
Housewares
We have a small housewares section available Monday through Friday, from 8:30AM-12PM, and Saturdays from 7AM-10AM.
